Speech Therapy

Our speech services are designed to help children develop clear, confident speech. Through fun, interactive sessions, we focus on improving pronunciation, reducing speech errors, and enhancing overall communication skills, while using evidence-based approaches.

Language Therapy

Two children, a girl with long dark hair and a boy with curly hair, are lying on the floor playing with toy animals in a classroom.

Our language therapy services are dedicated to supporting children of all abilities in developing essential communication skills. We provide personalized interventions to meet the needs of each child, from enhancing vocabulary and sentence formation to improving social communication, expression, and comprehension.

AAC

We provide Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) services to empower children to find their voice. Our tailored approach focuses on finding the right tools and strategies—ranging from pictures to advanced speech-generating devices—that best meet your child’s unique communication needs.

Early Intervention

Our early intervention speech therapy services are designed to support young children in reaching their full communication potential during the most critical stages of development. By addressing speech and language challenges early, we help set the stage for lifelong learning, confidence, and successful interactions.

We are proud to be an approved provider for the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship and the Autism Scholarship Program through the Ohio Department of Education. These programs help families access the specialized speech therapy services their children need—at no out-of-pocket cost to them.

If your child qualifies for either of these scholarships, you can use those funds to cover the cost of speech & language therapy sessions at The Speech Nook.

  • It's natural for parents to wonder if their child's speech development is on track. While all children develop at their own pace, there are certain signs that may indicate a need for speech therapy. Here are some common signs that your child could benefit from professional support:

    1. Difficulty Pronouncing Sounds or Words

    2. Limited Vocabulary or Trouble Forming Sentences

    3. Difficulty Understanding or Following Directions

    4. Frustration or Withdrawal Due to Communication Challenges

    5. Delayed Speech Milestones

    6. Stuttering or Disfluency

    7. Difficulty with Social Communication

If you notice any of the above signs or if you're simply unsure, contact us! We can assess your child's needs and recommend the best path forward to support their speech and language development!
